Blended Learning Toolkit: an open resource

Last week I registered for the Blended LearningTool Kit workshop facilitated by Drs. Kelvin Thompson and Linda Futch. The workshop runs from  September 24, 2012 – October 29, 2012

The workshop is a mammoth undertaking that is open to all interested in hybrid learning. In the spirit of open source, this free collaborative resource was developed by the University of Central Florida and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. The endeavor is supported by the Next Generation Learning Challenge Wave 1 grant.

For someone new to online learning this opportunity can seem a bit overwhelming --Times Square at rush hour crowded -- at first glance. Each page features many links, daily updates, tweets, blogs, and the like. Albeit, after an initial deer caught in the headlights moment, participants will realize the benefits -- from robust presentations to dynamic opportunities to build community and network.

The Schedule and Recordings found under Course Components/Navigation  are the best places to start this academic enrichment adventure.
